Make a Wish Presentation
Mary came into visit us from Make a Wish Foundation. We presented her with our cheque for 391 euro. She said it will go a long way to help make wishes come true for sick children. She told us about the charity and showed us a video. We definitely chose a very worthy charity to donate too. Well done everybody!
Samba drumming
We had the time of our lives today at Samba drumming! The drums were so loud we nearly went deaf!! Kieran was the name of our teacher and he had a green Mohawk! We learned the names of the Brazilian drums. We'll be clapping the rhythm of Drogh-ed-a and Ad-am/ Do-nal in our sleep tonight!!

lost school jumpers
MISSING HOODIES
Could you please check your son's hoodie to make sure it is his? There have been many jumpers going missing and some boys have lost multiple jumpers at this stage. There in one spare jumper in Ms.Fannin's room (age 7-8) but it has no name and nobody has claimed it. It will be sent to lost property next week!
There is not much more we can do than ask for boys to look after their own property and check names if a jumper does go missing!
Thank you

Monster Doodle Workshop
We had a great morning in Ballyroan library today! We met the author and illustrator Tatyana Feeney. We looked at the exhibition of illustrations and then a very large, long sheet of paper was rolled out! We became illustrators and drew monsters. It looked fantastic! Have a look at our photos!
Visit from Make-A-Wish foundation
As you know, the Make-A-Wish foundation was the chosen charity for our communion donations. Many of the boys were incredibly generous and we managed to collect €391. On Monday morning Mary, who works for the charity will be coming out to visit and accept the cheque so please be in school on time!

Summer Star Reading Programme
The boys attended the library today for a 'monster doodle' session with author illustrator Tatyana Feeney. While there, they received a Summer Star reading card and information booklet (in their bags tonight). The reading card is to try and encourage them to read over the summer months and rewards them with little prizes after every six books they read!
